What makes the Octovent thermostat unique over any other thermostat available in the poultry industry?

1. Eight stages of sequential ventilation above the set point temperature. The differential between each stage of ventilation can be individually adjusted. Below the set point temperature a fan cycle timer control is fitted (can be easily switched off if required).

2. The thermostat is fitted with a logger function every two minutes and it will record what level of ventilation is operating (logic control). In the event of temperature probe failure (probe destroyed by the livestock/signal cable failure) the thermostat will alarm. The thermostat will continue to operate at the level of recorded ventilation until the problem is rectified or the probe replaced.

3. The thermostat is fitted with a timer function adjustable from 0 < 999 seconds. The operator adjusts the timer function. The operator sets example 10 seconds, in the event of power failure the thermostat will alarm. When power is restored each stage of ventilation is delayed on start by ten seconds. This prevents main power trip or generator stall. Under normal operating conditions with changes in temperature inside the poultry shed the thermostat will wait ten seconds before increasing or decreasing the stage of ventilation.

4. The thermostat is fitted with a High / Low temperature alarm, probe failure alarm with logic control and power failure.

5. The thermostat is fitted with a High / Low temperature recorder and is very user friendly.

6. The din size mounting of the thermostat is designed so it can easily be fitted in place of a four stage digital thermostat as a simple upgrade.
